On the eve of our Faith Promise we had a Banquet for many of our believers. Some funds which would normally go to Missions were spent and a lot of work and preparation went into this. Have you ever wondered why we would divert our resources to celebrate like this?
We are children of God and Jesus Christ has provided each and every one of us with HIS salvation. We are to rejoice in this. This is the time to get PUMPED UP, Excited, and make our PLANS for the on coming year.
Matthew 22:2
"The kingdom of heaven is like a king who prepared a wedding banquet for his son."
As children of God, what plans have YOU made to help further your father's kingdom in the following year? What more can we do? How many people can you tell about Jesus? How many people can you help? How many Christians can you encourage with words and letters and gifts?
During communion today, let's remember what Jesus has done for us and let's consider what WE can do for our Father in heaven.
