Communion Meditation for Young People

John 15:1,4-5       Grapes

Grapes during Communion John 15:1, 4-5
1 "I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener.  4  Remain in me, and I will remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.  5  "I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.

See how the grapes are all part of the same cluster? When you go to the grocery store to buy grapes, you don't buy just one round grape, do you?

When we come together to worship and honor our Lord, let's also celebrate in each other because we are all brothers and sisters in Christ. We are all part of the same vine.

Teachers Note:

Pass out a cluster of grapes to all the children. While passing out the grapes, ask the children to notice how all the grapes are part of the same vine or cluster. They are all one. Yet, each and every grape is a separate grape, independent from the others.
