Communion Meditation for Young People

Acts 4:32-33       Butter Cream Gang - Helping Others

A Butter CreamerThe "Butter Cream Gang" is a gang of youths who do good deeds.  When they meet in their club house, it is to share what good deeds they have been doing and who needs help.  This gang began some 80 years earlier when a group of youths used to churn butter for widows.  Churning butter and making lye soap is very hard work.  The town gave them this unique name, and each generation strives to maintain the tradition.

Can you imagine belonging to a special club whose membership requires you to identify people who need help, and then helping them?

Let's practice being part of a special "Butter Cream Gang". Let's think real hard and see if we know some people who need help whom we can help?

Do you think it is possible God has called you to minister to one of these people?

Acts 4:32-33
32  All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of his possessions was his own, but they shared everything they had.  33  With great power the apostles continued to testify to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and much grace was upon them all.

During Communion today, let us consider these and other people and consider how we can show them Jesus through our actions.
