Communion Meditation for Young People

Acts 11:15-17
Gentiles get Special Gift

Initially, during Jesus' 30 year walk upon the earth, the Jews thought He was a gift for Jews alone. You and I were not included to receive this gift. When the gift of Jesus Christ was attempted to be shared with Gentiles like you and me, it was resisted.

When Peter was called before the Jewish Christian Council, he was asked to explain his actions concerning Cornelius, the Gentile.

[Acts 11 15 "As I began to speak, the Holy Spirit came on them as he had come on us at the beginning. 16 Then I remembered what the Lord had said: 'John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.' 17 So if God gave them the same gift as he gave us, who believed in the Lord Jesus Christ, who was I to think that I could oppose God?"]

Today, during Communion, let us remember how precious this gift is which we are able to share with each other. Think about others who do not know what the True Gift of Christmas is and resolve now, to let them know this week about this True Gift of Jesus Christ.
