Brad & Tammy Harvey We (PBT) plan to take a small team of nationals and expatriates from our EAB branch on a brief journey, visiting missionaries already in the area. We want to pray with them, encourage them, get to know them and their ministry and learn how to partner with them in the future. Many have expressed the same desire to build up the Church in unity for increasing His kingdom. We believe God will one day soon have us working side by side in our efforts to evangelize the lost in southeast Tanzania. As we travel we hope to discern from the Holy Spirit what He is doing and how we can become a part of that work.

Richard and Debbie Lee We have had over 3" in a week, which we are so grateful for . Our dam was running real low.

Dave and Suzie Snyder Our trip to China was to attend a CMF board meeting and visit several projects other Christian groups have undertaken in China. We then traveled to Thailand for a medical missions conference which featured CMF's Maasai clinics as an example of wholistic medicine incorporating physical and spiritual aspects of health. Our Maasai partner and clinic administrator, John Sankok, presented a 30-minute power point presentation at the conference. Suzie and I were delighted to both attend and cheer on our Kenyan brother who was quite excited to travel abroad and present CMF's Maasai ministry.

Phil and Sharon Eagling Emma is baptized in front of her family and friends On Sunday afternoon, Emma told me that she wanted to be baptized. The great thing is that she wants to be baptized at in front of the youth group. This is yet another answer to prayer. Most of the youth group have not given their lives to Christ, there are those who have been thinking about it. This just may be the catalyst for them to do so.

Alberto Rivas New church land in Monti Cristi Alberto was able to buy the land for the church building for $12,500 (including lawyer fees and taxes). The people of the church are going to help clear the land. They are very excited. Praise God!

A key value of IDES' ministry has always been to keep operating expenses low. One tool that has helped us maximize the gifts we receive is the IDES Endowment, a collection of funds that are held in perpetuity and invested. We use the income from the investments to fund operating expenses, freeing more of our current income for programs. Currently, the IDES Endowment stands at approximately $300,000.

The mission was blessed with 4 weeks of camp this summer. We had groups from Indiana, Georgia, and Kentucky staffing our camps. For the 4 weeks, there were a total of 266 children, ages 6-12 years old. Since we don’t actually check “official records”, the age range in reality was anywhere from 4-15 years old! The camp staff all did a great job every week in adjusting to those who were here “illegally” and I’m sure they were all blessed by the experience.

C.Y. Kim "Residence" authorization in the Northern part of NK have been granted to Patricia Kim; CY's paperwork is currently "in process" ... should be received by the end of September 2003

Faith Promise Pledges so far have been over $115,000 for 2004.

Mission Trips There was no drowning

Church Plant in Spring Hill - WellSpring Their grand opening, on October 19th, had 257 people in attendance. Nearly 50 new families... $4467 given in offering.

Local Outreach - Camp Christian There were 419 campers in 2003, 20 of them were new campers

Brad & Tammy Harvey Bradley was playing and he had a bad fall into a cement drainage ditch, bit through his lip, and lost two incisors on the right side. They were his baby teeth, but one of his new front teeth is now loose. The only option they had last night was the local hospital, where they had to put him under general anesthesia to stitch up his upper lip. It took about six attempts for them to get the shot for the anesthetic into him and today is arm is very bruised.

Richard and Debbie Lee Maize is running out again so we have many calls , letters and beggars at our door again. A no-win situation all round.

Dave and Suzie Snyder Our most immediate need involves the breakdown of our clinic vehicle. We recently received a repair bill of $3,000 including replacement of the entire rear axle & differential (housing & all). With a new clinic ambulance costing $35,000 fully equipped, we hope these repairs will keep us until furlough when we can raise the necessary funds to replace our older, well-worn clinic truck.

Phil and Sharon Eagling We do have some prayer needs. Could you please pray for us as we are still trying to get ahead financially. The Australian dollar has risen to an all time high for a couple of years. It is now worth 70 cents, and it is forecast that this will continue to rise. This means that the support we receive from you all will go down in value. So please consider this when you are trying to determine if there is any need to raise your missionary support. This is a genuine need. We do appreciate the support we receive now.

Alberto Rivas They continue to have frequent earthquakes in the Dominican. He said Santiago had one over 5 just this week. They are feeling them in Montecristi as well, sometimes 2 or 3 in one day. I don't think that they have had any damage though.

Pray for Melchor and his four children. Melchor read Scripture at Lynette's funeral (his brother is Michelle who used to be president of Centro Cristiano). Melchor's wife was killed in a car accident this week. His youngest child is only 1 1/2 years old.

Would you consider an anniversary gift to the IDES Endowment? A gift to the Endowment is different than a regular gift to IDES. Your anniversary gift shouldn't replace your ongoing gifts for programs -- this special offering will be invested with the gifts of others, and will yield an ongoing source of funding for IDES' operations.

There is always a need for more workers - if you feel God calling you, please let us know! 928 537-5912
Please pray for Pete, Steve and their wives as they continue this ministry.

C.Y. Kim In order to adequately feed the children of NK, we re prayerfully looking into the opportunity to start and additional "farm" in the North... with approximately 200 goats and 50 cows. All area of our work in NK would benefit from the 2nd "farm" location. There are currently 6.300 children - nursery school through middle school ages -- daily receiving one cup soy and / or goat milk.

Faith Promise For the next Missions Meeting where we will review a slew of Mission issues nd the 2 upcoming Mission Trips.

Mission Trips A Missions trip to Haiti will come together (be organized) this winter.

Church Plant in Spring Hill - WellSpring Pray for a more permanent church location in Spring Hill.

Local Outreach - Habitat for Humanity For a successful Habitrot, which is a 10K Run and 5K Run/Walk for Habitat for Humanity.

Local Outreach - Camp Christian Sr. High was down a little due to CIY scheduling conflicts. These scheduling conflicts are hoped to be avoided next year.
