We (PBT) plan to take a small team of nationals and expatriates from our EAB branch on a brief journey, visiting missionaries already in the area. We want to pray with them, encourage them, get to know them and their ministry and learn how to partner with them in the future. Many have expressed the same desire to build up the Church in unity for increasing His kingdom. We believe God will one day soon have us working side by side in our efforts to evangelize the lost in southeast Tanzania. As we travel we hope to discern from the Holy Spirit what He is doing and how we can become a part of that work.

Our trip to China was to attend a CMF board meeting and visit several projects other Christian groups have undertaken in China. We then traveled to Thailand for a medical missions conference which featured CMF's Maasai clinics as an example of wholistic medicine incorporating physical and spiritual aspects of health. Our Maasai partner and clinic administrator, John Sankok, presented a 30-minute power point presentation at the conference. Suzie and I were delighted to both attend and cheer on our Kenyan brother who was quite excited to travel abroad and present CMF's Maasai ministry.

On Sunday afternoon, Emma told me that she wanted to be baptized. The great thing is that she wants to be baptized at in front of the youth group. This is yet another answer to prayer. Most of the youth group have not given their lives to Christ, there are those who have been thinking about it. This just may be the catalyst for them to do so.

Alberto was able to buy the land for the church building for $12,500 (including lawyer fees and taxes). The people of the church are going to help clear the land. They are very excited. Praise God!

International Disaster
Emergency Service (IDES)

A key value of IDES' ministry has always been to keep operating expenses low. One tool that has helped us maximize the gifts we receive is the IDES Endowment, a collection of funds that are held in perpetuity and invested. We use the income from the investments to fund operating expenses, freeing more of our current income for programs. Currently, the IDES Endowment stands at approximately $300,000.

Christian Mission (AICM)

The mission was blessed with 4 weeks of camp this summer. We had groups from Indiana, Georgia, and Kentucky staffing our camps. For the 4 weeks, there were a total of 266 children, ages 6-12 years old. Since we don’t actually check “official records”, the age range in reality was anywhere from 4-15 years old! The camp staff all did a great job every week in adjusting to those who were here “illegally” and I’m sure they were all blessed by the experience.
