On Sunday afternoon, Emma told me that she wanted to be baptized. The great thing is that she wants to be baptized at in front of the youth group. This is yet another answer to prayer. Most of the youth group have not given their lives to Christ, there are those who have been thinking about it. This just may be the catalyst for them to do so.

Our most immediate need involves the breakdown of our clinic vehicle. We recently received a repair bill of $3,000 including replacement of the entire rear axle & differential (housing & all). With a new clinic ambulance costing $35,000 fully equipped, we hope these repairs will keep us until furlough when we can raise the necessary funds to replace our older, well-worn clinic truck.

We (PBT) plan to take a small team of nationals and expatriates from our EAB branch on a brief journey, visiting missionaries already in the area. We want to pray with them, encourage them, get to know them and their ministry and learn how to partner with them in the future. Many have expressed the same desire to build up the Church in unity for increasing His kingdom. We believe God will one day soon have us working side by side in our efforts to evangelize the lost in southeast Tanzania. As we travel we hope to discern from the Holy Spirit what He is doing and how we can become a part of that work

The mission was blessed with 4 weeks of camp this summer. We had groups from Indiana, Georgia, and Kentucky staffing our camps. For the 4 weeks, there were a total of 266 children, ages 6-12 years old. Since we don't actually check "official records", the age range in reality was anywhere from 4-15 years old! The camp staff all did a great job every week in adjusting to those who were here "illegally" and I'm sure they were all blessed by the experience.

Just last week we had a phone call from friends of 30 years. Devastated, they had been thrown out of their home and farm, were not allowed to take any of their implements, and are camping in someone's yard in Harare. They had lived on their farm for over 30 years!! Annette called us in tears, saying that they now know that everything we have is just earthly things and material things are not important. The only thing is to be a Christian!
