Phil & Sharon Eagling, Australia   Gday from the Eaglings.

We pray that god has used you. As you know Sharon, Savannah and I are in the states now reporting to our supporters and trying to raise support for when we go back to australia. There are many things that have made an impression on us as we have travelled thus far. One of the biggest things that has made an impression is the willingness of most people to be open about God and what that means to those who don't know Him.

As we have spoken in different churches we have heard people say that they have thought differently since all that has taken place. Sharon and I are very much interested in how people respond to changes as we are in the business of helping people make changes. Changes that will last for a lifetime. In Hebrews 11:1 it says this, "Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see." When we look at changes that are made for Christ to come in, and the old self to depreciate, we understand what it means to be sure of the hope we have in Christ.

Being certain in the world that we live in now may be very hard for some who have been affected more by the changes that took place on September 11, but what makes the difference in this case? Being certain of what Jesus Christ did for us! Being certain when it comes to changes is not easy because we are human and we tend to sometimes think too much and not trust enough in the power of God to take care of all the little details.

Sharon and I are going to make some changes as we return to Australia. As some of you might not be aware, we are planning to go into a church plant situation. There will in no doubt be some major changes that will take place in the way we respond to the new challenges and responsibility that this new mission will bring. That is where we trust God more, rely on his strength and understand with certainty and hope that it takes a strong faith to accomplish what god wants in this world.

So as you decide to change this year and the next, what is important to keep close to your heart is this, "Faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see." We can be sure that Christ is going to be in our corner just waiting to see what faith stretching changes you and I are going to make. Because if we know Him, we understand what it means to say that we are certain that Jesus Christ died for us, and that He is at the right hand of god interceding for us. That He is waiting for that day or night sometime soon that He will come back and take us to be with him.

Sharon, Savannah, & I will be with you soon.
God bless, your aussie mates in Christ.

AICM, American Indian Christian Mission, Arizona   The fire in Arizona which threatened Show Low was very close. AICM was evacuated. Only the wall of protection built by the prayers of many Christians kept the fire from destroying all of AICM.

.... After the fire had almost totally surrounded the mission, the wind unexpectedly changed direction and took the fire away from us and toward the city of Show Low. The mission went unscathed while almost 100 homes around us have been lost. ....
