Remember  Lynette  Rivas - June 10, 2003

Lynette Jaree Lund was born September 7, 1965, at New Hampton, Iowa, the daughter of Gerald and Helen Lund.

She attended Central Christian College of te Bible in Moberly, MO for 2 years, then transferred to the University of Northern Iowa, gratuating with a degree in Elementary Education. She worked as an elementary school teacher for Keokuk Christian Academy in Keokuk, Iowa, until 1995, and at Santiago Christian School in Santiago, Dominican Republic until 2002.

On December 27, 1997, she married Juan Alberto Rivas at New Testament Christian Church in Keokuk, Iowa.

During the Summer of 1999, they returned to the Dominican Republic, and the Christian Dominican Evangelistic Mission was formed. Franklin Christian Church began supporting their ministry at that time.

In June of 2002, Lynette and Alberto moved to Monte Cristi to work with a new church plant.

Lynette died Tuesday, June 10, 2003 at Monte Cristi, Dominican Republic. She is survived by her husband and two children: Abigail Elisabet (4 years old) and Jonathan David (6 months old). She is also survived by her parents, and four siblings. Valarie Peterson, Karla Cachiaras, Marsha Taplin, and Ken Lund.
