Hi everyone, I pray that you all are well. We often pray for you all, and we thank God for your continued prayers and support.
Well a lot has happened since our last newsletter. As you all know I had a considerable car accident on the 22nd of August. I am now just starting to get around a lot easier. Thank you all for your prayers.
We were supposed to have another group come over from Franklin, TN in September-October but we asked them to come in November. So please be in prayer for their trip over to us. They come to us at the end of November. They are coming over to help our band and also to help the church understand a little better what worship is all about. So please be in prayer for their plans and safe trip to us, and that their short mission to us will be a blessing.
What we found with the last group, as we said in our last newsletter, is this, we found that the fact that anyone comes all the way from the States to come and be with us is just as special to us even without the group even doing anything for the church. In other words it is such an encouragement to both the church and to Sharon, Savannah, and I, that it makes us rejuvenated in our spirit.
Speaking of being encouraged in our spirit, young Kalia James gave her life to the Lord and was baptised on the 22nd of September, 2007. Praise God for this as the James family are now all in Christ.
The photo above shows the James family. Kalia is the little girl.
Sharon and I have had the privilege of being part of leading the whole family to Christ over the last five years.
Can you believe that as of November 9th, 2007 we will have been at Thornton for five years, as I mentioned above. We still have many goals for this young church, we still need your prayers and support. We are so looking forward to the input that the Franklin Christian Church will have in November-December.
Please pray for the new play that is coming up at the end of November-December. Phil Barker who wrote the Pirate play we did last year has written another play titled Philestein. It is about a scientist who tries to bring life back to a corpse, but finds new life in Christ. It is a musical, and I am playing the lead singing role, so please pray for it to be a major outreach into the community. So please specifically pray that many will come and that they will want to continue to come after the play is over.
Also please be in prayer for Sharon, by the time you receive this newsletter she will have had a hysterectomy on the 22nd of October. Please pray for good recovery.
We continue to pray for you all,
God bless,
Phil
Greetings everyone, we pray all is well with everyone. Can you believe that we are nearly through this year, where has it gone?
How is everyone? We have been looking at different news items about what is going on over there. You certainly have had your fair share of terrible weather. Like us over here. Australia has been in drought for at least seven years, in various parts of the country. In some places the farmers are just walking away from farming for good.
I wanted to ask you all to pray for my upcoming surgery and recovery time. In fact by the time you receive this newsletter I will have had the surgery and be in the recovery time. So please pray for that as well as Philip and Savannah as they will need to help me and do all the things that I normally do and help run the church and get organised for the group coming over from Franklin.

As you can see by the photo’s below we had the baptism recently of Kalia James. Also please be prayer for Hayley Langlands who made a decision about two months ago. Her parents are giving her some grief over her decision to follow Christ.
We recently got the chance to go and visit with Philip’s parents, and it was the best visit we have had in 7 years. So please continue to pray for them. Philip actually came back to Thornton feeling renewed instead of drained by the experience. I have to go for now, bye, thanks again for all your prayers.
love,
Sharon.
Gday my American mates, how are you all? I pray that you are all well. I am doing well. I just came back from the September October vacation.
I went up to see my grandparents in Brisbane, QLD. It was so hot. I got the chance to go to a place called Dreaworld, this is kind of like your fun parks over there like those big rides and such.
Hey my dad is feeling better now. Thanks all you kids who prayed for him. God does answer prayer, I have seen God do this with my daddy.
On the subject of prayer please be in prayer for my mummy as she is having to go to hospital to have some surgery. Daddy said that she will have to stay in hospital for nearly a week. I am a little concerned for her, so please pray for her and the doctors.
My daddy said that the people in the church will help us with food and cleaning as he is not really up to all that. So please pray for daddy so he can be well enough to help mummy better when this all happens.
I am glad that the people in the church are going to help us with food, because I am not too sure about what kind of food we would eat if daddy had to do it.
Also coming up at the end of November I am in the play singing with Kalia, please pray for us and that it would be a real blessing for all.
your little Aussie mate,
Savannah
