Hi everyone, we pray that you are all well. We want to thank you for your prayers and support.
I would like to first of all ask you to pray once again for my family. My parents have separated again. This has most definitely caused a great deal of sadness. This time my mother has taken out a restraining order against my father. This is due to what he did to her. My parents as you know have had problems for several years. You have all read about it in some of our newsletters before. I will be honest with you and say that at times I have not known how to pray. I am torn between what has happened and how I love my parents. I always thought that I would always be able to look to my parents for an example of how I should live my life, how my marriage should be but this I cannot do. Also amongst all this my sister reminded me of something that had happened to me that I had blocked out. As I was only six at the time. I am hurting big time over these issues. We sure are in a spiritual battle. I have asked God on more than one occasion, what do I need to learn about this. Please pray for this matter. I am struggling with the hurt of what happened and what is happening now.
As most will know, the adversary wants to try and destroy our joy and our direction, and our spirit most of all. Why, because he does not like any progress being made in the area of new growth in Christ. He does not want to see people ex changing their old life for something that will last for eternity. He does not want people to change and turn to Christ. So why do we have trouble? Because Jesus said we would have trouble. Why, because we had another person come to Christ. Tiffiny was baptized on Sunday the first of October. Pictures are in this newsletter. Young Tiffany Brebner, the younger sister of the Brebners who were baptized in January this year, made a decision to follow Christ, praise God!
On the subject of praising God, we are so thankful that our first older youth night went really well. There were 25 to 30 young people there. Young Mitchell Grob spoke and there were two decisions that followed the message. Praise God, and that was his first time to speak. Please continue to pray for him, as he is still trying to work out what it is that he would do for God. I personally think that he does not have to think too much as to what that would be, but he has to come to that decision. He has to make some huge decisions. Where he would go to college, and what his life needs to be about. All of you, who have read our newsletters in the last four years can attest to the fact that there has al ways been something about the journey of young Mitchell Grob. Please pray for him.
Please pray for Stan Wright, as I type out this newsletter his father is in a critical condition in an England hospital. He is not expected to live. Stan is his only child, and Stan is in two minds as to what he needs to do.
Also please pray for the play that we are putting on for Christmas. It was written by a new member of the church. It is called Pieces of One, and it is about some pirates finding their way to the greatest treasure, Jesus Christ. It is mainly a musical. I have the lead singing role, so please pray that my voice will be good for the play. This play is all about outreach. We are praying that people will come who have never been to church before. Please pray that this will be a tool to reach new people for Christ.
God bless,
Phil
Hello again, wow how this year is just flying by ,just think only ten weeks to Christmas, or it might only be nine or eight by the time you get this newsletter.
We have had yet another challenging year. As Philip has mentioned his parents are yet again having problems. This time we believe that Philip’s father is getting help. Please pray that he does.
Also please pray for Philip as he has been reminded of some things that happened to him as a child and he has been having a hard time dealing with it all. This is when the distance from you all is not so good W have a lot of friends over in the US and it would be great to be able to talk with them about all this. What we do have most of all is a God who cares about our every need. I guess the prayer that I would ask you to pray is that Philip would find peace and his parents would finally be able to sort all this out. It sure has taken its toll on Philip and his family and our family.
Savannah is back into the swing of things at school. She in fact got an award recently from the principal of her school, for her academic achievement in school, and her good attitude.
On a positive note we have had a baptism as Philip mentioned on the 2nd of October.
It was great to see young Tiffany come to Christ.
Please pray for the Brebner’s as they have moved to the south of Nashville. They are planning to go to one of our supporting churches. Isn’t that amazing? One of our families is going to go and be part of one of our supporting churches in America.
WOW.
Christmas is fast approaching us. We are busy practicing for a Christmas play that we are putting on. It is a Christmas play that is a little different. Instead of using the usual Christmas figures, we are using pirates. The pirates are on a quest to find lost treasure, but what really happens is that they find the greatest treasure, Jesus Christ laying in a manger. Please pray for this, as we want it to be a great outreach event.
Speaking of events we had our first scrap booking afternoon for the ladies. This is going to be another outreach opportunity. We want to be able to have a coffee house type chat time as well, for young mothers. A lot to organize! And more service for people to step to. Please pray for willing hearts to participate.
Please also consider our request for help to raise the needed funds for those seats for the church. If you can help us in any way it would be great. We need to raise at least $2,900 for the seats.
love,
Sharon.

Gday mates from down under. Hey how are all my bonzer friends, crickey I hope you are all well.
A lot has happened over the last couple of months. I was so sad to hear about Steve Erwin passing away. My daddy said that Steve gave his life to Christ just two weeks before he died. SO I guess one day we all may hear him saying crickey what about that. My daddy said that he admired Steve for his passion. My daddy said that what you saw is what you got. In other words Steve Erwin did not put on a mask. Wow that is really deep stuff that I don’t under stand but maybe one day.
I have just been on a two week school holiday. We went up to see my Granddad, and Daddy’s family. It was a good break, al though I did see my daddy cry a bit. I was not happy to see him cry. I gave him plenty of hugs.
My mummy said that at this time daddy just needed to work through some problems that his mummy and daddy were going through. So could you please pray for him and mummy too, as she is a big help to daddy.
Hey did you know that my Rugby League team won the Grand Final. The teams name is the Brisbane Bronco’s. Rugby League is something like Rugby, but nothing like your Football, so Daddy told me. Daddy said that he was so glad they had won. He said that the coach of this team is the same coach they have had ever since they became part of the National Rugby League. Daddy said that this man had won 6 major Grand Finals (like your super bowl) which is a record. Daddy said that this showed just how much consistency can do for a team. That is such a big word I am not sure what that means.
The church has another youth night coming up on Saturday the 21st of October. I am allowed to go to this. The last one was really good. Please pray for this new ministry. That is what mummy told me to ask you. I have to go, bye for now, love Savannah.
your little Aussie mate,
Savannah
