I hope that you are all well. Thank you for your continued prayers & support.
What has taken place since our last newsletter? We have seen God at work in life of the people. It is always good to see people changing and becoming more aware of what it is God wants for their lives.
For instance please continue to pray for young Mitchell who recently has had a conversation with me about becoming a youth minister. This is of course something that we are thrilled about. We ask that you pray for Mitchell, that he will certainly walk into God's will for his life, and if this means answering the call of God to become a youth minister then praise God. Mitchell also is gifted in music, and he wants to use that as well.
On the subject of praising God we want you to be happy with us in that young Denise Schimmings made a decision to follow Christ in September. Thank you all for praying for her, please continue to pray for her growth. She just became the school Captain of her high school, so she does have a lot of influence with a lot of young people. Please pray that she will be able to influence young people to come to church and youth group.
There is also another reason to praise God. Young Peter Hipwell was baptized on October 31st. Peter began attending church January 2003. Peter has played his guitar in the church for the last couple of months and it has enhanced the worship service. Please pray for him as he steps into God's will. He certainly has a talent for music, as he has written some choruses.
As you will all see we recently had a group come from one of our supporting churches to be with us and to help us with a project. It was a great time of fellowship, and we managed to paint most of the church. The people in the congregation here were really excited about the time we had, and their enthusiasm can only mean positive moving forward.
We also had a five day revival, of which the senior minister from Franklin Christian church, Doug Fultz preached some sermons. We were greatly blessed by this as well as by Ken Harrell who sang and led worship. Yet another blessing!
Maybe you might be wondering about coming down for a visit with us, we would welcome this. We have had some feedback and the folks from Franklin have told us that they were glad they came. I think it makes it a whole lot easier for those who support us to see what it is really like. Think about it, pray about! Then send us an email or phone.
Please continue to pray us.
God bless,
Phil.
Hello again, I wanted to thank you all for your prayers and support.
It sure seems like we have not said hello for a while. I guess we have had a lot on our plate ( very busy). As Philip has told you we just had some friends come down to be with us from one of our supporting churches. We had a ball.
We were very blessed by the time we had. I think the most amazing thing that we got out of it was the encouraging fact that these folks got on a plane for a long time and came to see us and the work that we are doing here. It was great that we got to show them what kind of conditions we live in, how we are trying to reach our people, and how people respond.
We had a Sunday school picnic on the Saturday and that was fun because we had some parents of the Sunday school kids there and they don't ordinarily come, but they did, and they also came to church the next day. We know that it takes time for anyone to respond, but this was certainly a catalyst for them to see what church and fellowship is all about.
We saw most of the church painted in this time frame. It has certainly made a difference to the look of the church. As you will see by the photos.

Also last Sunday, the 31st of October we saw Peter Hipwell baptized of which you all can praise God. Young Peter has shown his love for the Lord and wants to serve Him. This has come about through a culmination of Philip working with him and building relationships within the church and also the recent trip of our friends. We believe that God used Doug Fultz to reap the fruit of the harvest, when Peter made his decision to be baptized the week after our friends were there. So praise 6od!
On a more personal note, Savannah has had some bad flu the last couple of months and Philip also has not been 100% healthy either. Philip has had some trouble with sore throats and his lungs. So please keep them in your prayers. Savannah is going to big school, as she calls it, in January next year. I sure wilt feel it I am sure. I guess you mums understand what I mean. I am considering how I can better serve the church next year as I will have more time on my hands. Well I need to go, I have to cook tea (dinner).
May God richly bless you
love,
Sharon.
Gday from down under.
I wanted to let you all know that I had such a bonzer time with the group of Americans that came to see us recently.
I wanted to thank Mr. Ken for his singing, he was bonzer. Also I wanted to thank Ken-dra. Ken's daughter for being a cool friend.
The third day our American friends were here we all went on a church-Sunday school picnic. As you will see in the pictures. We had so much fun, and I think they did too. They got to see some Australian animals, and they also got to play some games with us.
I especially liked it when Mr. Doug and Mr. Tim some how bumped my daddy in the sack race. Of course daddy called foul on them but it did not work, the race was over. I think daddy lost a bit of pride on that one, but I am not sure what that means, but you will have to ask him when we come over in 2006.
My daddy says that we need to start making plans for us to go in May 2006. He says that he is going to have to find a minister to come and fill in for him while he is in America. I am not sure what that means, fill in, but I am sure it must be okay.
I wanted to tell you kids about what I have done in die last couple of months. I have had so much fun at Sunday School because I have been learning about the fruits of the Spirit. Also I have seen our Sunday school grow to more than 14 children. My mummy said that we have to train new Sunday School teachers because of this.
Also in the last couple of months I have had some terrible coughs, and been sick. So please pray for me.
My daddy began yelling at the TV recently because he said that the country elected the right Prime Minister. I am not sure what a prime minister is but Daddy said that this man is kind of like your President. My daddy said that we needed to pray that the right person got the job of President as well because these are uncertain times. I said what does that mean daddy, and he said well it certainly means that God must be at the heart of every decision we make.
The people in this photo came to our church recently from Franklin Tennessee. They came to help us paint the church as you will see in the photo's that follow. They all worked hard and we had great fellowship. Ken Harrell is the one in red, his daughter Kendra is in yellow, Tim Park is sitting next her and Jan Taylor. Kathy Park is in the front sitting next to Doug Fultz and Ken. Also Doug Fultz preached a five day revival. Ken Harrell sang and we were greatly blessed by this time. Ken has a new CD out and it is great, make sure you get one.
I must go to preschool,
your little Aussie mate,
Savannah
