Greetings from your mates down under. Sharon and I are thankful to you all for your continued prayers and support.
We pray that your ministry is fruitful and that you are blessed beyond what you could imagine. Sharon, Savannah, and I have just moved house this past week. Our new Australian address is located below Sharon’s desk. We have not moved suburbs, just rental property. The rent was too much for us, so we found a cheaper place.
Please note our new snail mail address:

I wanted to let you all know how the ministry was going here. We have seen some growth in the church recently with new people coming.
One area that we would like to be working with is young couples and families. This seems to be where we are headed as these are the type of people that are coming.
The youth group is still moving forward. Sharon and I were greatly encouraged by two teens that volunteered to help us move. This shows that God has used us to break through to them. I was thinking about how most teens in Australia would rather spend their Saturday out having fun, so this showed some real depth in these two girls. There are also more of them coming to church, which also shows God at work.
The Sunday school is still moving, but we would ask you to pray that God would bring someone to the church who is gifted in this area. Sharon and I realize this is not an area we feel that we are gifted in. Although Sharon does quite well with the little ones. I am more comfortable with the ages around 10-12. But this does not mean that we can’t work with other ages.
Also when you pray, can you also pray that God would bring us some people who are gifted in the area of music.
The first six months of this year have certainly challenged us in so many ways. We are still trying to get ahead with our tax bill and our finances are certainly not where we would hope them to be. So please continue to pray that God would open up doors in this area. Thank you to those of you who have seen the need and given extra.
Sharon and I were wondering when some of you were going to come down here and visit with us. We also would love to receive a letter or email from any of you. If any of you are so inclined we like JIF peanut butter, and your flavored porridge. Send it normal mail.
We pray that God will bless you,
your Aussie mate,
Phil
Hi everyone, what a busy time we’ve had lately! As you all probably know, moving house isn’t the most fun thing in the world to do. But we are finally getting it all together. Savannah has started at a new pre-school here in Thornton and is going 2 days a week. She loves it and wants to go every day. I don’t think school is going to be a problem. She’s such a social butterfly!
The ladies Bible study is going well. We have started to support a child in the Philippines as an outreach so that is exciting. We have a few social things coming up next month that will keep the ladies busy with the planning. These events are geared towards inviting non-Christian friends and loved ones.
Speaking of loved ones, Savannah turns 4 on the 7th of July [where does the time go?]. She also shares her birthday with 3 other people in the church. We will be having a joint birthday party on the 6th I feel.
I have had to make a quick trip up to Brisbane a few weeks ago. A family friend died of cancer. She lived next door to my Dad for my whole life, she was a lovely lady and I managed to get to see her one more time before she passed away. She was such an encouragement to all, but she also used to read Dad’s mail to him and generally keep an eye on him. I know that he misses her greatly, but it is also a concern for us. We’d appreciate it if you could keep my Dad in your prayers. He has a wonderful church and other friends, but no one right next door anymore. As some of you know I am an only child, and the fact that my father is blind, and so far away does concern me. He is fairly independent, but he is not getting any younger. I know that prayer works, so please pray for Dad and for me as I need to feel and trust in God’s protection for him.
God bless,
Sharon.
Gday to my mates in America.
I am so stoked (happy) that Mummy and Daddy have decided to do another newsletter as I get a chance to tell you what I have done lately.
I went out with the whole church recently and played with the grown ups a game called ten pin bowling. I liked this game so much because it was so much fun. I also like it because I got some help playing it with a special ramp. The grown ups did not really think it was too bonzer (cool) when I got the score of 139, but all in all I had fun and so did they. My daddy said that this ten pin bowling night was meant to be a night to bring our friends too. I asked if I could bring my preschool friends, but that did not work out. Maybe next time.
My mummy said that we were going to have a Sunday lunch called "Guess who’s coming to lunch," in the month of July. I don’t know what that is about, except that mummy said that we would not know who we were going to have come and eat with us on that Sunday. She said that it was a way we could get to know someone that we might not ordinarily have over for lunch. I know that should be good because I like getting to know new people. I think it makes life ridgy didge (cool), when making new friends.
My Mummy said that she was glad that we finally got to move to a cheaper rental house. I don’t know what that means, but the view we have from the lounge room window sure is great. We get to see trains going by just about every 20 minutes. It is not so bad at night, although my daddy seems to get a bit annoyed at the ones who blow their horns at night. He said that they are big wombats. I am not sure what that means either , but I guess it is the same as calling someone a silly bear. If that is what you do.
I wanted to let you kids know that it is very cold right now. It is winter here. The house we have moved into is a lot colder than the one we lived in before. Daddy said that is because it is a lot older. He said that he believed Moses had something to do with the building of it. I am not sure I understand that, but daddy said that most of you would. He said that you probably would laugh about it.
Did you know that Australia has the most deadliest snake in the world? My daddy said that most of you would have seen that silly man Steve Erwin. Well he actually got really close to the Fierce snake which is the deadliest snake in the world. I am not sure that I would like to get that close.
Well I need to go now, all God’s blessings,
Savannah.
