G'day from down under. I pray that you are all well. We thank God for your continued prayer and support.
What kind of year did you have in 2005? We certainly had our challenges and our victories in God.
The challenges came in the form of extended family problems, and some in the church. Like most people we either dealt with these challenges in a positive or negative way. The struggles we had with my family certainly at times challenged us.
Like Jesus said to His disciples in this world you will have trouble, but at most times none of us really want to admit that we have trouble in our family. Or anywhere else for that matter.
The main thing here is that I have not lost my zeal and drive for God, and I have not given up in the face of adversity. My strength only comes from relying on God.
Also since our last newsletter Sharon had a miscarriage. She was around 8 weeks pregnant at the time. This coupled with having to deal with my parents problems, and some struggles in the church certainly gave us much thought to why. Then God shows us, we always need to remember that we are in a spiritual battle. Those of you who have ministers please keep them on your daily prayer list as they face this battle even more so as they are in opposition to the devil and his evil schemes. We know that greater is He that is in us then he that is in the world. Please pray for Sharon as she has had a hard time dealing with the loss. This is her second miscarriage and we were not really thinking we were going to have another child. Sharon turned forty in January, so this was some thing that has certainly made her question why.

The Holy Spirit certainly helps us all know that we are not alone. Through the reading of God's word and, the prayer life we are comforted.
We are also comforted by the prayers of you, who send up prayers on our behalL So thank you for that.

Here is part of the reason why we have been attacked. In the process of building relation ships last year God used Sharon and I to reach some people for Christ.
As I mentioned in my last newsletter young Shaun and four other people had made decisions to follow Christ.

Shaun was baptized December 14th last year. And in January 2006 we had 3 people from one family baptized. This night was great because the father, Grahame Brebner and his two teenage children, Tamira and James were baptized.
Then on January 30th young Daniel James was baptized. God is great and we can see His blessing. So thank you all for your continued prayers.

Also please continue to pray for our trip to you coming this May, 2006. We are looking forward to coming to you all. As you know Sharon will be continuing in her studies to become a librarian, and that means she will not be with Savannah and I.
Please pray that Savannah will be able to handle her mother not being with us.
Also please consider the following. As we come to you to report you in person about what we have been doing and our future plans please consider the finances that we have had to come up with to be with you. We do need help with trying to recover some of the cost. As you all know we still have bills to pay at home, and then having to travel on top of that using the budget we have, we find ourselves short. If we do not let you know about our need, then you don't know how you can help us. We are not asking for thousands of dollars, but we do need some help to cover costs.
We had one church help us some with the airfare, but still need help with that and some costs while in the States. So please prayerfully consider our need while in the states.
Please pray for the couple who will be coming here while I am in the States, there names are Dennis and Wanda Fulton. Dennis is a retired minister who has willingly decided to help us while away, so keep them in your prayers.
Please continue to pray us.
God bless,
Phil
Hello everyone.
What is your life like right now? Our lives have been thrown some wobblies ( struggles) lately.
As you all know Philip's mum and dad have been going through some marriage problems. This was happening while I was pregnant. We also had some struggles in the church, that eventually sorted out. Then, to top it off we had some financial difficulty.
I guess you could say as Philip did in his section that we most definitely were in and are in a spiritual battle. Please pray for us. And as Philip mentioned God showed us why, as we have had five baptisms in the last month and a half.
I said that we had the wobblies, and I was not kidding. But I do not want to sound like I am whining (being a whiner) but some times you just need some things to just let up, and find relief. God knows best, and I know that I don't, but just sometimes you just want to scream. Does that sound like you?
One thing is for sure, our lives are never dull, but don't you sometimes think boy I just want to live a normal life? But I do know the answer to that as well, because we are not considered normal here in Australia. We are considered to be abnormal because we like going to church, because we like living a good life. Because we like trying to help people and stand for something other than the status quo.
So how can you pray for us and help us. Well one thing you could pray that God would give us the strength we need. You could also begin to pray for Philip and Savannah as they are making plans to come over to you all very soon. This time will be hard for me as I have never been away from Philip or Savannah for that amount of time. I am studying to be a librarian as some of you have read in our last newsletter. This study will help us in the long term future.
We also need you to consider our need, as Philip mentioned we do have running costs here that we have to maintain, such as the rent and such. The expense of Philip and Savannah coming over there is great. Please help us recover some of that airfare and living expenses that they will incur while in the States.
I need your prayers as I will be starting the women's group up again. Need wisdom for this.
Also please pray for the couple who are coming here while Philip and Savannah go there. Dennis and Wanda Fulton come from Tarpon Springs Christian Church, Florida.
Please pray for Savannah and Philip as this will be a long time for her away from me, and that Philip will do well.
love,
Sharon.
Savannah’s learning page
G'day my American friends. I hope you are all well. In this section I just wanted to show you some photo's. Also to ask you to pray for us as we are making plans to come over to you.
My daddy said that it won't be long till we are in Cracker Barrel. I am not sure about that, I much rather would be in Wal Mart. Anyway my mummy said that daddy might have to get some bigger pants and shirts because he loves that Cracker Barrel too much.
I am looking forward to visiting with you kids soon. I will be able to learn more about you as you will be able to learn more about my country and me.
My mummy said that she can't come with us as she is studying to become a librarian. I am not sure what that Is, but she said she will be taking care of books. I guess that is a good thing to do.
Anyway, I pray that you are all well,
your little Aussie mate,
Savannah
