Gday everyone, we pray that God is richly blessing you and that you all are serving Him.
The last three months have flown by. I have wondered about the time, and what we do with it. I guess the question remains how do we use it for God?
When I was over there last year I often talked to people about certain people that god had used us to reach. One such person is Mitchell Grob. I have talked about him before in previous newsletters. He needs your prayer. He is still praying and trying to work out what he needs to do for God. Please pray for him that he will be able to make concrete plans for his future ministry.
He recently spoke to me about going and training somewhere. Like any young person who is trying to work out what it is he needs to do, he is struggling on what path he must take.
In the area of prayer please pray for Niki Hodge, she was baptised on the 25th of March. She has come from a very hard family background, and her decision to follow Christ is so great. She needs your prayers for her to find direction and peace in her life. The photo across the page shows her brother-in-law, the husband of Joe who was baptised two years ago, baptising her. He had a part in her coming to Christ so we thought he should have the privilege of baptising her.
In March we had an outreach movie night, where we invited people to come and watch old black and white silent movies. It was a great night, and there were people that attended that night who we had never seen before, please pray that they will return.
I have recently been painting landscapes as a release, this has helped me. My counsellor has helped realise I needed to find something to take my mind of some things. So I was wondering if you have any photos of landscapes, please send them to us.
I especially like photos of the Smokies and landscapes with barns on them, or landscapes with rivers and valleys and mountains and snow. On the subject of prayer, please pray for the two missions trips that are taking place this year with us. There is a team coming from Pittsburgh, PA, in July. Also another group coming in September-October this year. Please pray that their plans will all come to fruition, and that their mission here will be fruitful.
Please continue to pray for my parents. Also please pray for the youth group and Sunday School as they are going through teething changes.
We continue to pray for you all,
God bless,
Phil
Greetings everyone what’s new? Well there is not much that I can say is new here, but one thing never changes, there are is always one constant. God loves us and He never leaves us. I am so glad I can hold onto that promise.
Not too much has changed in the last three months, I am a little older, as I had my 4—– birthday in January. Savannah is older now, just turned 15. No I am just kidding, she is 7 and a half going on 15.
What’s changed in the church? Well we are seeing changes in the area of the Sunday School, and youth group. They need prayer! I am serving in the area of the LCD projector for the worship service on Sunday morning. The LCD projector has certainly changed the way the worship service goes. It seems to be a lot smoother worship service, if you can say that.
My father is doing well. As some of you might know, he lives in Brisbane, which is about a 12-14 hour drive from where we live, and he is a man who is more busier now in retirement then when he was working. Please pray for him as he is going on a trip with some friends. The reason why I ask this is that he is totally blind, and I find myself a little concerned for his well-being. I know that God will take care of him, but it does not hurt to pray for his safety does it.
I have at times questioned whether or not we needed to be nearer dad, to help him. This was even more so when we were at Johnson Bible College. We have understood that God does take care of him.
We just came back from a vacation. Philip’s Christian counsellor blessed us with a free holiday at a place known as Coffs Harbour. We got to stay at a place across from the beach, it was a great time of rest. Well, I need to go, God bless you all,
love,
Sharon.
Gday my American mates, how are you? I’m going well, feeling bonzer after two weeks vacation with my mum and dad.
We got to go and stay across the street from the beach. It was great. We got to do some fun things. Like go to the big banana. Which had everything to do with banana’s and such.
We also went to a dolphin and seal tourist attraction. I even got a kiss from a dolphin and a seal.
One of the best things we did was to go to the beach nearly every day and swim in the hotel pool. You see we were swimming probably while you all were still putting on your sloppyjoes, (warm jumpers). My dad said that a sloppyjoe was something you ate, unlike over here it’s something you wear. I would like to see you wear your sloppyjoe, ha ha.
Hey kids can you please pray for our Sunday School, as we have had some kids leave. We need you to pray that God would help us and that we would have wisdom to know how to reach more kids.
There are some people coming over here in July to help us reach more kids, please pray for them too. We are looking forward to their arrival and help they will provide.
Please continue to pray for my daddy and mum. Dad is still dealing with family issues.
your little Aussie mate,
Savannah
